Adaptive evolution of the rbcL gene in Brassicaceae

► Adaptive evolution of rbcL gene in Brassicaceae was studied ► 289th site was found under positive selection. ► The amino acid found in this site was isoleucine (Ile) or valine (Val). ► Model of 3D structure showed the positive selected site was in β-sheet of α/β-barrel active center of rbcL subunit.
