Chemical variability of the volatiles of Copaifera langsdorffii growing wild in the Southeastern part of Brazil

► Volatiles of different organs of five trees of Copaifera langsdorffii were studied. ► Sesquiterpenoids were the prominent compounds. ► Hierarchical Chemical Analysis distinguished two main group types of the oils. ► High intra-population variability in the chemical composition was observed. ► Coumarin was encountered only in the seeds of C. langsdorffii.
