Population genetics of Zostera marina Linnaeus (Zosteraceae) based on AFLP analysis

► The genetic diversity in all Zostera populations was low based on AFLP. ► Six clusters were markedly differentiated from the UPGMA tree. ► Meadow fragments, some marine gyres and geographic distance were responsible for the genetic differentiation.
