Chemical constituents from the bark of Annona salzmannii (Annonaceae)

► Bark of Annona salzmannii yielded sesquiterpenes, steroids, and isoquinoline alkaloids. ► Isoquinoline alkaloids are the chemotaxonomic marker of the genus Annona. ► The NMR data for reticuline (12) were revised. ► Selin-11-en-4α-ol (3) is reported for the first time in the genus Annona.
