Synthesis, characterization and antiamoebic activity of chalcones bearing N-substituted ethanamine tail

Chalcones containing N-substituted ethanamine tail were synthesized and twelve compounds were found to be better inhibitors of Entamoeba histolytica than the standard drug metronidazole.
