Synthesis and in vitro anticancer studies of novel C-2 arylidene congeners of lantadenes

Pentacyclic triterpenoids Lantadene A (1) and B (2) were transformed to C-2 arylidene congeners (7-16) and tested for in vitro cytotoxicity against NCI 60 human cancer cell lines.
