Synthesis and anticandidal activity of new triazolothiadiazine derivatives

► New triazolothiadiazines were obtained via ring closure reaction of triazol-3-thione. ► These compounds were tested were tested in vitro against various Candida species. ► The cytotoxicity of these derivatives was evaluated by MTT assay. ► Compound 2a was found to be the most potent derivative among these compounds. ► +π effect of substituents may have a considerable influence on anticandidal activity.
