Synthesis of highly crystalline octahedron 3D-Zn2SnO4 as an advanced high-performance anode material for lithium ion batteries

A promising class of mixed transition-metal oxides (MTMOs) with stoichiometric or non-stoichiometric ratios has recently received notable attention worldwide. Benefiting from their excellent electrochemical properties, these MTMOs will play a substantial role for low-cost and ecologically responsive energy storage/conversion technologies. In this work, we have developed highly crystalline octahedron 3D-Zn2SnO4 by hydrothermal synthesis and evaluated their application in Li-ion batteries (LIBs). Several characterization techniques have been used to analyze structural, compositional, and morphological features of the material. The highly crystalline octahedron 3D-Zn2SnO4 micro-particle attained a specific discharge capacity of 739â¯mAhâ¯gâ1 with a coulombic efficiency of 99% after 100 cycles at a current density of 100â¯mAâ¯gâ1. These attractive results suggest that 3D-Zn2SnO4 shows good performance as a negative electrode material for high-performance LIBs.
