Synthesis and luminescent properties of 3-(2-benzoxazol-2-yl)- and 3-(2-benzothiazol-2-yl)-2-naphtholates of some non-transition and rare earth metals

► New N,O-chelate complexes of Li, Zn, Sc, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy were synthesized. ► Photo- and electroluminescence properties of the complexes were studied. ► Luminance of Sc(NpOON)3 is the highest among the known scandium fluorofores.
