Photoluminescence analysis of Er nanoparticles in cadmium-phosphate glasses

► Er nanoparticle doped cadmium-phosphate glasses were prepared. ► X-ray and TEM studies explored the nano dimensions of pure and doped glasses. ► Judd-Ofelt parameters were calculated for the prepared glass system. ► The prepared glass system can be used in lasers and electroluminescence devices.
