Ferroelectric liquid crystal matrix dispersed with Cu doped ZnO nanoparticles

► Cu doped ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) have been dispersed in pure FLC matrix. ► The presence of nanoparticle perturbs the FLC geometry. ► This perturbation causes the modifications in the physical properties. ► Synthesis method of the NPs also plays an important role for modified properties. ► The coupling between spontaneous polarization and tilt angle set up E-O parameters.
