Theoretical calculations of the thermal expansion coefficient of glass-ceramic sealing materials in solid oxide electrolysis cell

► Three series of glasses were prepared, and their thermal expansion coefficients were measured. ► A new method was developed to accurately calculate the CTEs of all glasses. ► Average Field Strength Method was compared with the Appen method. ► The relation between average field strength and average field strength coefficient was found.
