Investigation on corrosion and galvanic corrosion in LaFe11.6Si1.4 alloy

► The corrosion and galvanic corrosion behavior of LaFe11.6Si1.4 alloy were studied first. ► The 0.05 M BTA/0.05 M sodium benzoate mixed solution shows a good inhibition efficiency for the corrosion and galvanic corrosion of LaFe11.6Si1.4 alloy. ► The galvanic corrosion current density cannot change with the potential increase due to the formation of absorption layer.
