Comparison of recrystallization textures in interstitial free and interstitial free high strength steels

► We compared the microstructures and texture evolution during recrystallization in 85% cold rolled interstitial free and interstitial free high strength steels. ► This study brings out the beneficial role of phosphorus in the development of recrystallization textures. ► {3 3 2}〈1 1 3〉 texture component strengthened after recrystallization in both the steels.
