Comparison of hydrogen storage properties of Mg-Ni from different preparation methods

► Three samples of Mg-Ni samples were prepared by casting and ball-milling with CNT. ► XRD, SEM, DSC and hydrogenation (by Sievert's method) have been investigated. ► Hydrogenation behaviours indicated that ball-milled samples have better kinetics. ► “Ball-milled cast” had a double catalytic role in hydrogen dissociation and diffusion.
