X-ray synthesized PEGylated (polyethylene glycol coated) gold nanoparticles in mice strongly accumulate in tumors

▶ PEG coated Au nanoparticles synthesized by intense X-rays. ▶ PEG-Au nanoparticles accumulate up to ∼25 times in tumor regions more than in normal muscle tissue. ▶ The accumulation increases with the time after injection for up to ∼12 h in tumor.
