Electrochemical behaviour of TiO2 reinforced Al 7075 composite

- Clustering of TiO2 particle and porosity increased with increasing TiO2.
- Coarse and numerous very fine η′ and η precipitates in T6 temper composite.
- Shifting corrosion potential to noble direction with increasing TiO2.
- Corrosion is maximum for 30 vol.% TiO2 composite and least for 7075 alloy.
- Pitting damage greater with the increasing TiO2.
