Microstructure and high mechanical properties of Mg-9RY-4Zn (RY: Y-rich misch metal) alloy with long period stacking ordered phase

► 14H LPSO structure with two different forms are found in this alloy. ► The lamellar LPSO phase in DRX gains are formed during the hot extrusion. ► The alloy exhibits high strength and ductility both at room and high temperatures. ► Two effective strengthening sources are considered for the alloy.
