Development of SiCp/AZ91 magnesium matrix nanocomposites using ultrasonic vibration

► SiCp/AZ91 nanocomposites were successfully fabricated by ultrasonic vibration. ► Grains of nanocomposites are gradually refined with increasing the volume fraction. ► SiC nanoparticles are well-dispersed in the 0.5 vol.% and 1 vol.% nanocomposites. ► The tensile strength of the nanocomposite is improved.
