Contribution of nano-sized lamellar microstructure on recoverable strain of Ti-24Nb-4Zr-7.9Sn titanium alloy

► Nano-sized α lamellar structure was produced by using a short-time annealing technique (t ≤ 600 s). ► Stress-induced α″ phase transformation was suppressed with limited effect on the β phase stability. ► Stable pseudo-elasticity of about 2.7% was recorded in the full-tensile-range.
