► Tensile work hardening behavior of grade P91 steel exhibited two-stage behavior. ► θ exhibited a linear correlation with reciprocal of ε˙p independent of temperature. ► θ-ε˙p plots can be represented by a single master curve at all temperatures. ► Rate of change of true stress is linearly related with the true plastic strain rate.
