Microstructure and mechanical properties of large size Ti-43Al-9V-0.2Y alloy pancake produced by pack-forging

► A large size Ti-43Al-9V-0.2Y alloy pancake was fabricated by pack-forging. ► The alloy exhibits β phase which can contribute to hot deformation. ► A B2/γ/α2 FL structure was obtained after the heat treatment of 1350 °C/8 h. ► The alloy has excellent mechanical properties at RT and high temperatures.
