A first-principles study of the effect of Ta on the superlattice intrinsic stacking fault energy of L12-Co3(Al,W)

► We study the effect of Ta on the superintrinsic stacking fault of L12-Co3(Al,W). ► Ab initio modeling, the Axial Ising Model and Quasi-random Structures were adopted. ► Ta increases the superintrinsic stacking fault energy of L12-Co3(Al,W).
