Evolution of shear bands and fatigue striations in a bulk metallic glass during fatigue

► The shear-band zone in BMGs is similar to the plastic zone in crystalline alloys. ► The shear-band spacing is consistent with the coarse fatigue striation spacing. ► The findings will be fundamental for the prediction of the fatigue life of BMGs.
