Scattering of gravity waves by multiple surface-piercing floating membrane

▸ Interaction of waves with multiple surface-piercing membrane breakwaters is analyzed. ▸ Initially the problem is studied for a single membrane wave barrier. ▸ The case of multiple membranes breakwaters is studied using wide-spacing approximation. ▸ The deflection of the membrane reduces with the increase of the stiffness of the mooring lines. ▸ The multiple floating breakwaters help the reduction of wave height in the transmitted region.
