از آنجا که تایوان یک جزیره پرجمعیت با تقریبا هیچ منبع انرژی فسیلی است، توسعه انرژی تجدیدپذیر موضوع مهمی است. در گذشته، صنایع با بهره وری انرژی کم، برای توسعه اقتصادی تشویق شدند، اما اکنون باید از این ساختار صنایع بهره وری انرژی پایین برای ارتقای انرژی تجدیدپذیر و بهره وری انرژی استفاده شود. این مقاله با تحلیل محصولات ناخالص داخلی همراه با مصرف انرژی و انتشار گازهای گلخانهای برای صنایع عمده در تایوان، در این مقاله به بررسی انواع صنایع باید برای توسعه آینده تایوان تشویق شود. علاوه بر این، توصیه هایی برای سیاست انرژی تجدید پذیر انرژی و انرژی انرژی تایوان ارائه شده است.

Since Taiwan is a densely populated island with almost no fossil energy resources, the development of renewable energy is an important issue. In the past, industries with low energy productivity were encouraged for economic development, but this structure of low energy productivity industries should now be adjusted to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. By analyzing the gross domestic product together with the energy consumption and CO2 emissions for major industries in Taiwan, this paper considers what kinds of industries should be encouraged or discouraged for Taiwan's future development. In addition, the recommendations for Taiwan's renewable energy and energy-intensive industrial policy are presented.
