Ti/Ti-Al microlaminated composite thin sheet with layered thickness ratio of 1:1 was prepared by high-powerful EB-PVD technology. The microstructure was characterized by XRD and SEM, and the tensile behavior of samples at room temperature and high temperature was tested. The experiment results show that the material is composed of Ti and α2-Ti3Al and γ-TiAl phases, the lamellar structure can increase the room temperature plasticity of the composite. Although there are more micro pores in undensified microlaminate composite, it still has a higher tensile strength and a good characteristic of delayed fracture at high temperature due to the anomalous strengthening behavior of intermetallic layers and the crack blunting induced by micro-layer interfaces.
