First-principles study on the half-metallic Tc-doped Sr2FeReO6

► The cell volume shrinks as Tc concentration increases. ► Tc-doped Sr2FeReO6 is not found to destroy the half-metallic nature of the ordered compound. ► Tc-doping leads to a reduction in the net magnetic moment.
