Effects of calcining temperature on structural and magnetic properties of nanosized Fe-doped NiO prepared by diol-based sol−gel process

► FeNiO is a diluted magnetic semiconductor for spintronic applications and ferromagnetism at room temperature. ► 1,3-Propanediol as a novel chelating agent in the sol-gel process for the preparation of FeNiO. ► Uniform and dense spherical particles in nanosize provide higher magnetization. ► Crystalline size and particle size increase as calcining temperature increased.
