In-treatment tests for the monitoring of proton and carbon-ion therapy with a large area PET system at CNAO

Data taken at the CNAO treatment facility in Pavia with proton and carbon beams impinging on heterogeneous phantoms demonstrate the DoPET capability to detect the presence of a small air cavity in the phantom.
