A high-intensity source of 6He atoms for fundamental research

► We present the design and construction of a molten lithium target station for the production of 6He. ► The measured extracted 6He intensities in a low-background experimental area amount to 109 atoms/s. ► A rich program of fundamental physics experiments will be pursued in the future at this target station.
