Analytic Investigation Into Effect of Population Heterogeneity on Parameter Ratio Estimates

The α/β ratio estimated from clinical dose-response data is model dependent-a heterogeneous TCP model that accounts for heterogeneity in radiosensitivity will produce a greater α/β estimate than that resulting from a homogeneous TCP model.
