Quasi-static and high strain rates compressive response of iron and Invar matrix syntactic foams

- Yield strength of syntactic foams decreases with increasing microballoon content.
- Intermediate strain rate testing is conducted using split-Hopkinson pressure bar.
- High strain rate strength is higher than the quasi-static values for syntactic foams.
