Quorum sensing inhibitor FS3-coated vascular graft enhances daptomycin efficacy in a rat model of staphylococcal infection

► Daptomycin without FS3 showed MIC and MBC values of 4.00 and 16.00 mg/l. ► Daptomycin in presence of FS3 showed MICs and MBCs fourfold lower. ► In in vivo studies, singly daptomycin or FS3 have good efficacies. ► Their combination was significantly higher than that of each single compound.
