Activity of the RhoU/Wrch1 GTPase is critical for cranial neural crest cell migration

► We studied the function of the RhoU GTPase in neural crest cell migration. ► RhoU is expressed in migrating Xenopus CNC cells. ► RhoU is critical for CNC cell migration. ► RhoU knock-down results in defect in cell attachment, spreading and migration in vitro. ► The level of RhoU activity is critical for explant polarity and directional CNC cell migration in vitro.
