N-POMC1-28 increases cyclin D expression and inhibits P27kip1 in the adrenal cortex

► HPA axis inhibition upregulated P27kip1 and downregulated cyclins D expression. ► N-POMCCys upregulated the cyclins D1 and D2 in the outer adrenocortical zone. ► The ACTH and N-POMC peptides upregulated the cyclin D3 in the inner adrenocortical zones.
