A Study of various Trends and Enabling Technologies in Radio over Fiber (RoF) Systems

This paper surveys the various trends and techniques developed and used in the radio over fiber technology. Also a detailed study of some of the techniques like RoF-PON networks, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), optical millimeter wave generation, Dense wave length division multiplexing (DWDM) has been done and the impact due to emergence of these technologies has been evaluated, suggesting the future scope of these technologies in the field of RoF communication systems.
