We propose a novel design of optical network system that can be used for optical communication security and receiver identification. The data signal is secured by using both the optical encryption key and optical address of the receiver before transmission, where finally the receiver who has the valid optical decryption key and optical address can decrypt the Ciphertext. In this paper, a PANDA ring resonator, optical add/drop filter and Mach–Zehnder Interferometer are used for the encryption, decryption and identification processes without any electronic control circuit. The encryption and decryption keys are formed by dark-bright soliton propagation within the PANDA ring resonator. Simulation results obtained have shown that the secured optical network can be achieved optically and realized.
