This paper proposes an optical design of optical glasses based on advanced eyes model via CODE V software in order to find the minimum thickness of optical glasses. In this study, two of the most advanced technology are employed: first, CODE V's optimization software as well as the most reliable Kiou & Brennan eyes spherical model; simulations are done in order to find the limitation of thickness of optical glasses; first, traditional spherical and aspheric surface are compared and then refractive index of optical materials are variable for next step comparison. Finally, it is concluded that if diopter is −1, normal material under an aspheric design can reduce the thickness of 3.05% compare to traditional spherical design. If different materials with higher refractive index is applied to aspheric design, thickness are able to be further reduced the up to 8.66%. Following the strength of optical power, for example, diopter is −5; aspheric design with the same material compared to traditional design will find that maximum 38.55% of the thickness can be reduced. If different materials with high refractive index are applied, thickness could be further reduced up to 44.9%.
