Metal nanoparticles influence on light absorbed power of thin-film solar cell with periodic structure
چکیده انگلیسی

The study find that the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) can be excited by adding metal nanoparticles in thin-film solar cell (SC). Then the light can be concentrated and ‘folded’ into a thin semiconductor layer, thereby increasing the light absorption of solar cell. In this paper, by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method and combining with periodic boundary conditions (PBC), a two-dimensional periodic structure of thin-film solar cell is modeled. The light absorbed power of thin-film solar cell are calculated by adding the square, sphere, hemisphere metal particles, respectively, and the size of metal particles influenced on the power of light absorption in these three shapes are also discussed.
