Image enhancement by the modified high-pass filtering approach

We demonstrate a brand-new method for image enhancement by using a modified high-pass filtering approach. Some specific spatial frequencies are selectively magnified by exaggerating the local visibility of an image. Then a high-pass filter is employed to adjust those critical frequencies. The enhanced final image has well-sharpened fine characteristics.
