The two-dimensional mixed convection flow near the stagnation point region in a fluid saturated porous medium along heated vertical plate with effect of buoyancy forces and thermal radiation investigated in this paper. This study gains importance when the buoyancy forces due to the temperature difference between the surface and the free stream become large. The governing coupled non-linear partial differential equations are solved approximate analytically. An analytical series solution has been obtained using Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) for various values of physical parameters. The present results are compared for the special cases with the results available in the literature and found to be in excellent agreement. The effect of various physical parameters on velocity and temperature profiles as well as on the heat transfer and the shear stress rates.
