The quality of components and trackbed layers that constitute the construction of railway infrastructure affects the condition of the roadway of rail vehicles. Its current parameters are monitored and recorded on a regular diagnostics of track geometry parameters. Diagnostics of rail tracks is implemented in two life phases of the structure - as input diagnostics in which quality is represented by observing the installation requirements for track parameters and operational diagnostics in which quality is represented by observing maintenance limits and safety limits for track parameters.To find out the current condition of the roadway is used monitoring parameters of absolute and relative track geometry by prescribed methods utilizing the technical equipment. At present, the Department of Railway Engineering and Track Management, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Žilina performs diagnostics of the roadway with unconventional design of the superstructure - with a slab track. Within the monitoring are used surveying parameters of absolute and relative parameters of track geometry and geometric measurement of relative parameters of track geometry. The article provides an analysis of diagnostics of relative track geometry parameters and compares the results of continuous and spot measurements deviations – gauge (ΔRK) and cant (PK).
