Online Model for Hydraulic and Water Quality Analysis in “Hangzone Sonnenberg”, Zurich

The objective of the Water Supply Zurich in the presented project is to monitor water quality online within the water distribution network of the city of Zurich and to gain more information about the network (e.g. hydraulics, source tracing, water age). Together with Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI) a pilot phase was initiated for the pressure zone “Hangzone Sonnenberg”. The project consists of the main steps model transfer to online model including update from GIS, maintenance work consideration, measurement campaign, data access from SCADA system and flexible result presentation of hydraulic and water quality results for hind casting, forecasting and real-time operation.
