The analysis highlights the relevance of engagement and more specifically each areas of work life inside nursing care performance. Among the areas of work life, value, control and community emerge as pillars of this relationship. Moreover, this research sheds light on the major influence of engagement on the sub-system “transforming resources into services” from the nursing care performance framework elaborated by Dubois et al.
