Two-grid Discretization Schemes Based on the Filter Approach for the Maxwell Eigenvalue Problem

This paper discusses highly efficient discretization schemes for the Maxwell eigenvalue problem. Two kinds of 2-grid discretization schemes (see Math Comp 70(2001)pp17-25, SIAM J Numer Anal 49(4)pp.1602-1624) are applied to the finite element filtration method for the Maxwell eigenvalue problem. MATLAB numerical experiments are presented to support the reliability and high efficiency of the schemes.
