Venous Thromboembolism in Patients Hospitalized for Lung Transplantation

VTE is a relatively frequent complication among LT recipients and is associated with increased death, total hospital length of stay, and hospital charges. These data indicate that prophylaxis practices should be reexamined to reduce this preventable complication.
