Inflammatory Response Modulation through a PPARγ Agonist during Surgically Induced Visceral Ischemia in an Animal Model

Our observations show that administering pioglitazone can partially reduce secondary inflammatory response in the ischemic insult especially in endothelial and perivascular tissues.
