Electromagnetic tracking of flexible robotic catheters enables “assisted navigation” and brings automation to endovascular navigation in an in vitro study

We show in this study how the combination of robotic endovascular navigation and an electromagnetic tracking system has the potential to improve procedural safety and efficacy and to lead toward “fluoroscopy-free” endovascular surgery.
