Synthetic, organic compound vepoloxamer (P-188) potentiates tissue plasminogen activator

Vepoloxamer has potential as an antithrombotic and thrombolytic adjunct. It may potentiate the effects of heparin and tissue plasminogen activator. As an adjunct, vepoloxamer may improve drug efficacy while decreasing adverse effects and cost.
